Diplomați americani la ISHG

David Muniz, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the USA in Bucharest, paid a visit on February 3, 2021 together with other embassy representatives to the Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies (IHGS) of the College of Political, Administrative, and Human Sciences from Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj. On this occasion, the American guests had a discussion with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zoltán Tibori Szabó, director of the institute and Drd. Melania Leșe, researcher within the institute about the educational and research activities initiated and carried out by the institute, the partners who supported the creation and development of these programs and visited the IHGS library and archive. The meeting was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Jewish Community of Cluj, Dr. Róbert Schwartz, the president of the community and Andrea Julika Ghiță Székely, a member of the community board. The American diplomat assured the representatives of the institute of the full support of the embassy and the US government.
